What do I get, exactly?

Your company’s AI strategy, drawn as a map with you, and a team to build the first moves on it if you want one. Consult is hands-on hours with us at $400 an hour, with a five-hour minimum. Build is a dedicated team from $15,000 a month, on call 24/7.

We have no AI team. Can we still write an AI strategy?

Yes. You bring what no outside expert has: how your company actually runs. We bring the AI side and draw the map with you. If you choose Build, a dedicated team builds the first moves and teaches your people to run them.

What should an AI strategy include?

On our map: who decides, the outcome they want, what is true today, the hard limits, what you can change, what drives the result, how you will know it worked, and when you must decide. Then the first moves, each with a measure, and a named person approves anything you cannot undo.

What do I show the board?

The map itself. It shows the company in one view, with a source and a date on every claim about what AI does in it. It also shows the first moves, how each will be measured, and what would change the plan.

We already run AI pilots. Do we start over?

No. The pilots you already run go on the map. What already works stays on the map. What nobody can measure stays an open question.

How long does it take?

Consult has a five-hour minimum. How long the map takes depends on how many departments it covers and how fast answers come in. On Build, beta projects can be running within days, and several are usually in production testing within a week, depending on how fast you give us access to your systems.

How is this different from hiring a consulting firm?

You draw the map with us, and you learn to keep it current, so the strategy stays with you. Every claim on it carries a source and a date. Consult is $400 an hour; Build starts at $15,000 a month.

What do Consult and Build cost?

Consult is $400 an hour with a 5-hour minimum, so a first booking starts at $2,000. Build starts at $15,000 a month for a dedicated team that builds with you and is on call 24/7.

Do we keep what you build?

Yes. If you ever end the contract, all of the infrastructure we built for you transfers to you, to run and maintain. In the words of James Brady, Utlyze’s founder, “Our goal is to build people that can build themselves.”

How is this different from CAIO of One?

CAIO of One is for new and de facto Chief AI Officers without a team, in title or in fact. This site is for the executive asked for the strategy before there is an AI office or an AI team. Both are Utlyze sites, with the same method and the same prices.

Is this legal or compliance advice?

No. If a law applies to you, its dates go on the map as limits. For example, the EU AI Act became applicable on August 2, 2026, with some exceptions. Legal, security and employment calls stay with you and your advisers. We make no promise of compliance.
